The compact advantage
The nice thing about a small camera is that I can carry it comfortably in a small shoulder bag. If the opportunity comes, I'm ready to shoot. If not, at least I will not have shoulder pain to remind me I was carrying the camera.
A bigger/better camera would not be able to produce such a nice photo as the one below, because I probably would not have taken it with me...
