Construction of Mosteiro da Batalha ("Monastery of the Battle") started in the 14th century, being dedicated to the Virgin Mary in memory of the Portuguese victory on Aljubarrota Battle against Castilla's army. The next few posts will show photos taken in the monastery last Summer.
